Growing up in Buffalo, NY and hating the cold, a school farther south was an obvious choice for me. I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland with a degree in Graphic Design. After working for several years in Baltimore it was apparent there was still one more move south yet to go. Upon arriving in South Carolina I felt this was where I belonged. I've always felt that the grand old cities of the south possess architecture of timeless elegance. The southern landscapes are infused with sunlight and a feeling of contentment. This is the essence of the south that I enjoy and try to impart in my paintings.
My earlier pieces were a combination of colored pencil and acrylic paint since I was more familiar with colored pencil at the time. Many people think that I paint in watercolors. I actually use a more liquid acrylic paint and dilute them further with water. It gives a watercolor "feel", but I can still maintain the detail that I've always enjoyed with acrylics. I paint images that I enjoy and hope you will as well. Please feel free to look through my gallery of work. I've separated my prints into smaller galleries of cities or subject matter.
Under each print I list the title and the sizes that print is available in. My prints come fully matted and are ready to frame. The size is the outside dimension of the print and the matting combined, this is the size of frame you will need. My mats are standard size so you can purchase a standard size frame from a local store. The mats are available in green, white, and blue with the colors shown at the bottom of this page.
